The Jackelope Blog

The Story:

Folk with a twang and a bite = Fang. Jackelope plays Fang. Fang is not country, or alt.country, its not bluegrass or newgrass, its not rock, not indie, no whining, no screaming, just characters passing through a time they only sometimes understand. Jackelope's songs tell a story that is only partly complete, incorporating influences as diverse as Cuban bass legend Cachao to The Kinks to Camper Van Beethoven.

From the story of the old lady sitting on her porch reminiscing of her days as a Rodeo Queen to Billy Witt and his quest to build a perpetual motion machine. The stories are timeless yet timely, the songs catchy not cloying. Check us out.
